GO.8
is an automatic switcher for redundant backup management. It is capable of automatically switching 8 audio channels, one MIDI line, one
, andone video line. Switching can take place between two audio players such as computers with sequencers, or two B.Beat devices or other audio and/or video sources.
GO.8 is ideal for live concerts and theatrical performances where
Backing Tracks, Midi and Video tracks that cannot be interrupted are used.

NEVER CRASH ON STAGE AGAIN
GO.8 exploits a gate that detects the crash of the main machine and switches to the "backup" machine in real time, ensuring continuity even in case of failure.
Two groups of audio inputs (with 8 balanced channels), two video inputs, and two Midi inputs are available, and switching between the two groups is done automatically by means of a SYNCH-specific audio signal (sinusoidal, 1 kHz frequency) on GO.8 channel 8. As soon as the lack of this signal is detected, the device switches to input group B (redundant).
Switching can also be done in a manual manner using the SELECT button on the front panel.
COMPACT AND ROBUST
Housed in a sturdy 19″ GO.8 steel rack, it has a choice of 25-pin D-sub or 1/4″ TRS input connectors with D-Sub and XLR outputs.
The front-panel XLR jacks produce a DI signal with balanced microphone level to feed a snake system and are transformer-isolated to eliminate hum and hiss caused by ground loops.
D-Sub connectors at the rear of the panel provide balanced direct line-level connectivity.
WITH B.BEAT: AT THE TOP!
Using M-Live products from the B.Beat line, you can send the SYNCH signal mixed with audio tracks to input 8 of GO.8 (both Jack and DB25).
This allows you to use all the outputs available on B.Beat without having to sacrifice one for the operation of GO.8.
CASCADE MANAGEMENT
For complex configurations, multiple GO.8 can be connected, creating 16-, 24- or 32-track systems.
In the diagram on the right, two GO.8 connected in cascade to manage 16 audio channels generated by B.Beat .
Also connected are the Midi and Video signals that GO.8 can handle in redundancy as the Audio signal.
EVEN WITH PCS AND TABLETS
GO.8 is also suitable for Computer use.
In this case, it is necessary to use one of the Audio tracks as Drone, in order for GO.8 to have the proper signal to perform the switch in case of a Crash from the main computer, or Main.
You will need to record an audio track on your DAW with a technical signal that will guide GO.8. This track is not necessary if two B.Beat are used for the backing tracks.
GO.8 is the ideal device to build a system that is foolproof, and can prevent any kind of Crash on stage.
SMPTE TRACK MANAGEMENT
GO.8 has a function for reading SMPTE timecode as an LTC signal from channel 7 (both group A and B) for real-time verification of the timecode value.
The unit's power supply is also redundant: two power supplies can be connected to prevent shutdowns due to the failure of one power supply.
