DIGITAL MIXER.
B.BeatX Includes a digital mixer to handle 16 tracks on 8 separate outputs, 2 inputs, a Headphone output for Click*, return from Mixer and Backing tracks. With the 8 outputs the tracks that make up the Backing Tracks can be sent to the Stage Mixer. From any source a Stereo or Mono audio signal can come back to B.Beat through the 2 available inputs, in addition B.Beat recognizes the Click track and can channel it to any of the 8 available outputs and at the same time to the headphone output*. When the headphone output is activated with 4 potentiometers, the musician can balance in real time what he wants to hear in the headphones during the performance.
*when the headphone output is activated it uses two audio channels, so the available outputs become 6.r during the performance.
With the 6 outputs, the tracks that make up the Backing Tracks can be sent to the Stage Mixer.
From any source a Stereo or Mono audio signal can come back to B.Beat through the two inputs, in addition B.Beat recognizes the Click track and can route it to any of the 6 available outputs and simultaneously to the headphone output.
B.Beat Expansion
B.BeatX can work in sync with B.Beat and B.Beat Pro16. This means that if you use B.Beat + B.BeatX you can build audio projects of up to 32 mono tracks (or 16 stereo tracks) and you can use for a single project 6 + 8 audio out, a total of 14 outputs. In addition, the two VIDEO outputs of the two machines allow you to have a Video track and a track for the Hunchback (Prompter for Lyrics).
If, on the other hand, you use B.BeatX in conjunction with B.Beat pro16 you can have 16+16 audio tracks that will be handled on 24 audio out.
Sound Card
B.BeatX includes a real Sound Card 8 out and 2 IN, Win and iOs compatible via our Drivers available here. Thanks to the card you can use, together with B.BeatX, a digitally connected pc channeling the outputs of the various tracks of B.BeatX exactly as in the Daw. This function is very useful in Sound Check and in the rehearsal room, before transferring the Backing Tracks from the Daw directly to B.Beat.
B.BeatX on stage
B.BeatX is designed to have maximum reliability during LIVE performances. There is a special button on the remote control panel [LIVE] that can be used the moment the Show starts because from that moment the processor of B.Beat will be committed to maximum performance without wasting resources. This minimizes the risk of unintentional Crash, and preserves the user from operating errors.
B.BeatX has a Synch system to use it in conjunction with Auto Switch systems that prevent it from stopping in case of Crash.
Video Output
B.BeatX has a video output, this is because on stage there is often a need to have a Video Wall accompanying musical performances. The same output can be used at will to display song lyrics as a cue card. Sheet music can be uploaded as PDFs, and for each instrument on the stage you can have a dedicated sheet music. The sheet music can be displayed on Smart Device via wireless.
Organizing performance
B.BeatX handles individual Backing Tracks that can be organized into convenient Playlists, or into full-fledged Shows consisting of multiple Scenes of various types. Projects can contain Music, Videos and Images but also MIDI tracks to send messages to the various devices that are used for Live. The philosophy behind B.Beat is to simplify the management of Backing tracks and Videos during a Show. With B.BeatX there is no need to bring Computers, Tablets, Sound and Video Cards, Cables, Mixers to the stage.
Preparing B.Beat for the Show
Create your Backing Tracks with your Daw, and once you have finished your studio work you are ready to transfer the music to B.BeatX. To do this an APP is included which is called B.Beat manager and runs on Win and Mac PCs. With the manager you will assign outputs to the various tracks, and you can complete the editing by adjusting volumes as desired. If you have synchronized the videos to the music you can upload everything to B.Beat.
Metronome and Click
B.BeatX has a dedicated Metronome session. You can very easily manage a metronome directly on stage. The audio Click of the metronome can come out on one of the 8 outputs, and at the same time to the headphone output, if it has been set. The same thing happens with the Click when it is recorded on the Backing Tracks. When the Click track is present in the multitrack Backing Tracks it is recognized and sent to a separate output and to the headphones.
B.BeatX can read MTA (multitrack Audio) format files produced and distributed by M-Live through Song Service site. MTA Files are multitrack files that B.Beat reads at 8 stereo tracks. The Backing Tracks are organized as follows: Track 1 Drums, Track 2 Bass, Track 3 Guitar, Track 4 Keyboards, Track 5 Orchestra, Track 6 Wind Instruments, Track 7 Click, Track 8 Melody. Audio projects with 16 separate stereo tracks are also available, which can be freely adapted to B.Beat with any DAW.
