The expander included in MixLight is a dual generator with a total of 32 MIDI channels and 168 polyphonic voices. The sound memory includes the entire Merish 4 database, i.e., 366 instrumental sounds and 482 percussion sounds on 46 drum kits. MixLight is particularly suited to the MIDI file repertoire programmed by M-Live, but it will also sound great with third-party repertoires.
MixLight also functions as a sound card, so it can play MP3 files stored on a connected PC or tablet. backing tracks their own channel on the MixLight mixer and can be mixed and equalized as desired, independently of the equalization of other channels.
The mixer included in MixLight is perfect for live performances and features quick and easy controls. It allows you to mix and equalize 7 separate sound sources.
7 sources = 4 mono channels + 1 stereo channel + 1 MIDI channel + 1 audio channel
The settings can be quickly recalled via 10 stored scenarios, 3 of which are directly accessible from the panel. There are 6 channels on the panel, consisting of 4 mono inputs + 1 stereo input. Another 2 audio channels are dedicated to mixing and equalizing the music base being played.
MixLight includes a powerful effects generator that can be used on both vocals and instruments connected via the dedicated audio inputs. The multi-effects include reverb and delay, noise gate, and compressor. Phantom power can be activated on the microphone inputs. The equalizer is semi-parametric with 3 bands: Low, Mid, and Hi with gain, frequency, and Q control. You can store 10 complete scenarios (presets) with all settings.
The Harmonizer is a special effect that enriches your voice with automatically and intelligently harmonized backing vocals.
The Harmonizer has 4 voices and is active on the first channel of the mixer. It can work with specially programmed MIDI files (e.g., M-Live MIDI files) or via keyboard commands or MIDI controllers. It can generate backing vocals automatically thanks to Auto Harmony, which can be activated with a button or pedal.
The first channel offers additional special effects on the voice, such as Doubler, Gender, and pitch quantization.
