How to update the firmware of Merish

How to update the firmware

(Latest version available: ver. 1.71)

  1. Check the current firmware version
    • When Merish is turned on, a screen with the product logo appears: the currently installed firmware version is shown in the upper right corner. If the installed firmware version is the latest, no update is necessary.

  2. Download the firmware
    • The updated version of Merish firmware can be downloaded as a .zip file by clicking this link.
    • Once you have downloaded the file, extract all the files it contains and copy them to a USB flash drive, keeping them in the root directory and not in a subfolder.
    • Remove the USB stick from your PC.

  3. Update the firmware
    • Disconnect the USB cable from Merish if connected.
    • Insert the USB flash drive into the appropriate port on Merish (turned off) and turn it on.
    • Merish recognizes the presence of the new firmware and begins the update process.
(NOTE: during the update process, Merish may ask if you want to initialize the USB stick: if so, press ESC)
    • Wait until Merish returns to the home screen displaying the TITLE panel before removing the USB flash drive.

Merish is now updated to the latest firmware version available.
